A crazy car for ferruccio lamborghini's centenary

An exceptional anniversary, an exceptional car. The Lamborghini Centenario is indeed the most powerful car authorized on the road in the history of the brand.

With its 6.5-liter V12 engine even more formidable than that of the Aventador Superveloce, the car develops 770 horsepower. Going from 0 to 100 km / h takes 2.8 seconds and the driver can reach peaks at 349 km / h.

A car produced in 40 copies

But this new car presented in Geneva remains limited to 40 copies worth several million dollars (20 coupes and 20 roadsters). The brand thus celebrates the centenary of its charismatic founder Ferruccio Lamborghini, father of the supercar concept. At the beginning of the Sixties, the man took it into his head to redefine the concept of "grand tourer" with the 350GT. The designers therefore had carte blanche to invent a model without undergoing the constrai  nts of mass production.

Make sure the car does not take off

As one would expect from a special edition Lamborghini, the Centenario adopts a devastating profile. However, its protruding fins and its sharp carbon fiber structure are not only aesthetic details. With such power available, it was necessary to optimize downforce and ensure that the car did not take off. Hence the presence of four-wheel steering and a telescopic, rotating rear spoiler - to ensure road grip and facilitate braking when a sudden stop is required.

All Centenario are already sold!

Lamborghini hopes that owners - each model has already found a buyer - will take their car to the racetracks to take full advantage of its capabilities. That's why, in addition to the infotainment systems, Apple CarPlay compatibility and on-board wifi, the Centenario has telemetry technology worthy of dragsters.

You can thus monitor the stopwatch, the gravitational force generated in the turns and access a wealth of information relating to the circuit. A camera is even integrated into the cockpit so that at each lap of the circuit, the expressions of the pilot and the passenger can be immortalized and published on social networks ...
